The designer and creative director of Celine. Hedi Slimane revisits his photo diary for the Meet Me in the Bathroom NYC rock documentary featuring Yeah Yeah Yeahs and The Strokes. The ever-expansive creative Hedi Slimane has gone back into his photography archives to create a limited edition poster for the release of documentary, Meet Me in the Bathroom, a film that uncovers the reincarnation of rock music between 2001 and 2011.
The documentary is directed by Will Lovelace. Taking us through the chaotic underground clubs, bars and backrooms of the early 2000's NYC music scene, Lizzy Goodman's 2017 book, Meet Me in the Bathroom, is one of the best documentations of this seminal sonic moment. Now, premiered at LFF last week, the book has been translated into a documentary directed by William Lovelace and Dylan Southern who have partnered with Hedi Slimane. The designer and creative director of Celine - who launched the photographic blog Hedi Slimane Diary in 2006 - partnered with the documentary 'Meet Me in the Bathroom' to produce a limited-edition concert poster, using photographs from Slimane's archive.
